Amazing. Just installed the C5 and am very impressed

Amazing. Just installed the C5 and am very impressed
Amazing. Just installed the C5 and am very impressed. Replaced a Medialink N router. My cabled PC internet speed doubled, and wifi is now 3x faster on both my phone and laptop. Also, connection strength to my wifi blu-ray player increased from 75% to 100%, so signal strength and coverage is much better. One note about the setup, the easy setup guide suggests using the auto detect option to determine the type of connection to your ISP. Mine is Time-Warner. As other reviewers have noted this may come back recommending the static IP setting, which it did for me. But I selected dynamic (and no to MAC clone), which is the option most users will want, and it worked perfectly. So, auto detect may not give the simplest option.I had previously tried a more expensive, highly rated Netgear router which was a disaster, and was returned. So far this TP-LINK is working perfectly. I realize there are many factors involved in router and wifi performance, but based on my experience this model is definitely worth trying.Update: One more note. The channel selected for wifi can make a huge difference in speed. Using the "auto" option to let the router find the best channel may not be best. Also, for 2.4Ghz using 1, 6 or 11, as is often recommended, may not be best. It all depends on the interference in your location. If you have a smartphone get the 'Wifi Analyzer" app, which will show the channels in use in your area. Pick one that is least used. In my case channel 8 is 3x faster than the "auto" channel, or 1, 6, or 11. Just a little testing can help find the fastest channel. You're welcome. :)
