In this article first I will discuss about How to take a screenshot on Windows with Windows options. Later I will suggest you about a free software.
How to take a screenshot on Windows PC
First method: It works for Windows other than Windows 8
Just press “PrtSC” button. It will take screenshot of entire desktop. You will find this button in the first row of your keyboard. Probably you find this button after “F12”.
Press “Alt + PrtSC” To take a screenshot of particular window. You may also consider reading Microsoft’s guide about how to take a screenshot on Windows.
Second method: Windows 8
You need to press “Windows + PrtSc” in Windows 8 to take screenshot of entire desktop. Screenshot image will store in a particular place. You can read my earlier article about how to take a screenshot on windows 8 for complete details.
Method 3: Using snipping tool : It works for Windows Vista, 7 and 8
Windows vista, 7 and 8 has inbuilt tool called snipping tool. With this tool your can take screenshots effectively. In Windows vista and 7 you will find snipping tool in “Start -> All programs”. In Windows 8, just type snipping tool in start screen. Earlier I have written an article about how to use snipping tool. You may consider reading it.
Method 4: How to take a screenshot on Windows PC with a free software
I am using “puush”, a free software to take screenshots. Because it takes screenshots effectively. It automatically converts to the format which has less size. Please read How to take screenshot with puush software.
