Read this TweakBit Driver Updater Review before using this software. Have you ever had glitches on your computer with error messages saying something about a non-working or unrecognized device? Ever experienced problems connecting a new printer, scanner or another device to your PC? All of these and some other types of issues are usually the result of a faulty or missing driver.
Drivers are bits of software that tell Windows what to do with each device or hardware component on your computer. They are essential to device operation. Without drivers devices would simply not work. And this is exactly why an outdated, corrupt or missing driver can cause such serious problems. What’s more important, this is also the reason why getting a driver updated to an incorrect version can cause your device or the entire PC to crash.
Today I’d like to review a program that lets you update all drivers on your computer in a safe and easy way: TweakBit Driver Updater.
TweakBit Driver Updater Review
The Driver Updater program from TweakBit Software is a tool that makes the complicated task of keeping device drivers up to date easy enough for a user of any experience level. You can see a more detailed description of the program on the company’s website.
Driver Updater is available for Windows versions from XP to Windows 10.
One license is good for up to 3 computers and is valid for 1 year. Regular price is $59.95, but right now the software is available at a discounted price of $29.95.
Full Driver Checkup
Driver Updater’s intuitive interface guides the user through the update process step by step. Download the Tweakbit Driver Updater. You start by clicking just one button to launch the scan, and the software checks your computer for any old, bad or missing drivers.
When the scan completes, you get a list of all driver issues that get detected. On my computer Driver Updater found 19 outdated drivers, which told me I should have used a driver scanner a long time ago. You can go through the list and decide whether you want to update all drivers on the list, or get them updated one at a time. You get all the information you need to make this decision: the list includes the release dates of the old driver versions and the newest updates available, the manufacturer name and, of course, the device the driver controls.
Before the program starts updating drivers on your computer, it creates backups of the installed driver versions and a system restore point, which ensures you can get back to where you were in case something goes wrong with the update.
Automatic Driver Updates
Once the backup is created, the program downloads the necessary updates from its large online driver database (containing over 200K drivers) and starts installing them one by one. That’s it. It took the program close to 10 minutes to get all problem drivers updated on my computer, which in my opinion isn’t super fast, but quite acceptable. When Driver Updater is done, your devices should work much smoother and any driver-related errors that used to pop up on your PC should be gone for good.
Keep Errors Away
Besides fixing existing driver issues, TweakBit Driver Updater helps keep all drivers on your PC up to date through regular scans and timely updates. Whenever you need to connect a new device that may not come with the most up-to-date driver, just launch Driver Updater and it will get the latest driver for you to help ensure smooth device operation.
TweakBit Driver Updater is a very useful tool that should be part of every user’s PC maintenance kit.
